MY SCHOOL FOLLIES

Schools and Colleges give us stories a plenty to talk about.
Here is a sincerely written, but fictional / insincere account of the life of a student - (meant to be pure fun) And he...he.., with profound apologies to Boyzone, this is tuned in line with their popular chart-topper "No matter what....". Do try a few lines (at your own risk of course)

MY SCHOOL FOLLIES

Here’s the story of my life,
For all the young and the old
I pour my heart out to you
Feel that this tale must be told

School never made me, feel well
Sick of hearing teacher yell,
Always wondered what, to tell,
Subjects were boring, as hell

Maths, Bio-chem, history, civics
Never did I get a fix
Don’t talk of French and Hindi,
I slipped and fell in physics

However much did I try,
Crunching lots of potato fry
English literature made me cry
And Geo left me high and dry

The Science teacher, asked a question,
What is Relativ-ity?
I said, we welcome relatives;

serve them tea n act witty

I got a whack on my face
Was dragged by collar to princi,
Fumed when he heard my classy, and
Walloped me in a frenzy

He frowned, he scowled, and gave me a kick,
Wherever he deemed fit,
And threw me out of the school,
Calling-me a fool n dimwit

I gave a glare standing out,
Cared too hoots, being thrown out
Best of the billionaires in the world
Were’nt they all school drop-outs?

I will become, a rich man
Will find many a colleague
Will slog to win over fatigue, my
Smart mind’ll put me in that league

But let all schools thrive and many a children
learn the ABCeeeeeeees......,
I don’t decry education,

Dont want them all at sea

Cheers

  1. Sitaraman, this was an excellent write (tune?) and it had me smiling all the way through (and I'm still smiling while I write you). I could hear the music and the beat, while flashing back to some of my school days. Excellent effort. - keep it up; I will be reading your other post! ;-)
